Yeah, so, try it, it really works!
Ohhh, man, i am such a dork... Anyway, came up with the idea for this one a while ago in chemistry class when we were learning about molecules and polarity and electronegativity and stuff, and to demonstrate the polarity of a water molecule my chem teacher did this same demonstration... only he used a metal rod rubbed against a patch of animal fur instead of a balloon rubbed against your head or polar fleece jacket. But as he was demonstrating, he held out the negatively-charged (or maybe positively-charged... i dont remeber how that works
) rod to the stream of water and said, "And now you can actually BEND the water!" I highly doubt he knew the avatarded significance of what he had just uttered, but, of course, upon hearing this i immediately snapped to attention, and started formulating the idea for this comic through the rest of the lesson instead of listening to him... which is probably why i got a B-minus on that test. heh.

of course, my teachers have done this too, along with other things:ex. potassium hydroxide-look up the formula for it, and if ur a true avatard, you'll know why i lol'd in class when i saw that on a worksheet.
